Unseen Galaxy will release an industry brief to our participating teams regularly. They will have four weeks to design, produce and market their games before submitting their completed projects to Unseen Galaxy for publishing. Students and teachers can access our resources here on the website during that time.

It sounds impossible, but it is very doable! Remember, you’re not releasing a triple-A title. We’re looking for mini-games, not the next big franchise! Keep it simple, work with your team, and you’ll find that four weeks is enough time to finish it.

No game is perfect! Certainly not your first one, either. Submit what you’ve made; at the very least, you’ll get some valuable feedback.

Absolutely! All of our resources have been written with first-timers in mind. This is the perfect chance to see what’s involved in game development and try your hand at some of the jobs involved.

Any team that completes and publishes their game will have full credit on your game page, within the game itself and in any marketing you provide. This kind of credited work is an excellent basis for a portfolio, showing studios your skills and existing work. We aim to deliver real industry feedback with every release cycle with direct contact.

Studios are always looking for new, talented people to work in the games industry. Taking part could be your first step in that direction. Having a portfolio of credited work is an excellent help in developing a career in games, as well as understanding what is required to make a game.

Sadly, no. All games published by Unseen Galaxy will be free, and neither you nor Unseen Galaxy will make any money from them.

Participating teams will sign a publishing agreement, allowing Unseen Galaxy to publish the games; however, the IP will be retained by your school/college.
